I’m creating this blogger account for the expressed purpose to keep friends and family informed on my trip to New York City. I am notorious for not being the best in keeping in contact with family, and this seems to be the best way to keep everybody in the loop.
I’m not quite sure what I’ll be doing or what will be going on while I’m down there, so there aren’t any promises for how often I will post, but hopefully it will be every couple of days. I’ll also try to put up a picture or two with each post.
I’ll be arriving on May 30th and living in a hostel for the first couple of days and then I move into the NYU dorms. I’ll be joining a group of 30 broadcast “professionals” as a part of the IRTS Summer Fellowship.
My first week will be spent training and learning the ropes, then it is off to WNYC for a crash course in public broadcasting. I hope it’s way tougher than that last sentence sounded.
