Goodbye Honesty Box

2007 June 27
by admin

I am so damn sick of this Honesty Box. And therefore at the conclusion of this posting, I will remove it from my facebook account. It has done nothing by made me paranoid and scared of what other people think of me. Now I know that I’m not perfect, on occasion I do talk a bit too much about myself. Hell, I’m sort of doing that now. But I use the box as a tool for poking good fun at people while some people use it to actually tell me their honest opinion. I never thought it would come to that. Example,

Nick, You are a selfish, but honest person. You don’t ask other people enough questions you care more about your personal thoughts on a subject.

Where the hell did this come from? Now I’m not pointing fingers at anybody… Mallory!, but even with the ability to hide my identity from others through the internet, I don’t think I would say this to another person. I did tell a girl “U R Hawt” and something about the fact that pandas cry on the inside too, but that is about it. So since I do not get the ability to know who wrote that little bit, I’m going to write an open letter to whoever said it.

Dear Mystery Poster,
Thank you for pointing out the obvious. While am self centered and selfish, I have one thing going for me…, I know that I’m selfish. As a result I try to use that to my advantage and be open and honest with people and friends. I do think I genuinely care for other people’s well being. Most of the time I have Ed Norton saying in my ear, “When you act like your dying people really listen instead… of waiting for their turn to speak.” And I am always that guy waiting for his turn to speak. I hope to get better at this in the future, until then I think people are just going to have to suffer through me hangin’ around and such.

Love,
Nick

P.S. I tried to fix some of your grammars errors, but since I’m not quite sure what you were saying in the first place I tried my best.

That is why I refuse to add it in the first place.

    I am dangerously paranoid.

That’s funny that you didn’t ask the poster any questions and just gave them your opinion instead.

Does that mean you DON’T think the person you wrote “U R HAWT” to is “HAWT”?

    Man, that’s just mean Nick.
