Everyone’s Your Friend In New York City
Oh how I love traveling so much. It began on Thursday morning at 10am AST and ended on Saturday at 2am EST. Overall it went pretty well. I was wiped out from not being on a regular sleep schedule, so I don’t remember any of the Anchorage to Seattle flight. Then Seattle to Newark wasn’t half bad, I got some reading done and more sleep. The roughest part of the trip came while spending so much time in the Newark airport.
Arriving around 10pm, I was able to get my luggage pretty easily and check in for my Super Shuttle ride. I was told only 20 min, and to hang out in the ground transportation area to be picked up. After an hour went by, I decided to call and find out what happened, they looked me up and told me it would be another 90 min. So I wait the hour and a half, after a total of three hours had transpired, I hopped into a cab. I eventually arrived in Harlem around 2am. Because of all the sleep I was able to get on the flights, I didn’t get to sleep until 8am.
I eventually woke up and went to lunch with Shannon and Bowen. After that Bowen had to buy a bed from Sleepys. It was good to see the process she had to go through, as I’ll probably be doing the same thing pretty soon too. Now that I’m in the city, and Becca (future roommate) has some time off next week, looking for apartments should be a bit easier. If anybody has any ledes (ha) on any 3 bedrooms in NYC, give me a heads up.
Tomorrow I’m going to Coney Island with Elyse, no Cyclone this time for me.
