Oh whoever said that there is no free money never heard of the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend. Year after year, we sell out our state’s natural resources to be gouged by greedy oil companies… and I think I can live with that for now. Year after year, the dividend has bailed me out of a current financial disaster. This year’s being especially important as New York is a very expensive place.
So now I will have more than a few dollars in my bank account… what to spend the new found riches on? I was thinking of investing in a bed. A nice big bed to be able to spread out on and enjoy the joys of sleeping on something I own. The rest will probably go into the “I need to pay for rent ever month” fund.
For those who don’t quite understand what all the fuss is about… move to AK for over a year and sit back and collect the riches.

it’s going to be my last dividend for a while, so I was happy to see that it was a big one. I could always lie to the state but that would probably be a bad idea. I’m working tax free here anyway, so I can’t much complain.
