Side Notes
It has been a few days, and as I don’t have anything overwhelming that needs to be told here, I thought I would share a few short notes.
One Year
I started this blog slightly over a year ago as a way to share my life with friends and family… I think things are going pretty well, so I’ll give it another year just to make sure.
Financially Secure
Now I’m not rich or anything, actually far from it. But this is the first time in my life where I actually have enough money to be safe. I have normal bills like rent and phone and they are paid with ease each month. I have some that I save from my paycheck weekly, and a little to play around with. My largest luxury is to have my laundry around the corner, I drop it off, come back that night and it is done. Tiss the sweet life for me.
New Toy
With that security, I also received my stimulus check this week and felt the hole being burned in my pocket. So I did what I normally do… I went shopping. Nothing clicked though and I know better to save it (TAKE THAT GOVERNMENT, I’M SAVING MINE!) but I really wanted to buy something, so I got a little bendable tripod for my camera. In this picture, it is the thing holding my holga camera on the bike wheel.

Angela at Supercuts
As most of my friends already know, I refuse to spend over 15 dollars if anything for a haircut. In the past I have been known to let slightly intoxicated people near my hair with scissors. Always fun, but never the best idea. So Tuesday I go to Supercuts to get a haircut as I was getting near Wookie length and Angela is my stylist. I sit down and we have a wonderful conversation. I try to describe my job, and she doesn’t understand what I’m talking about. We talk politics, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton mostly and how I can’t stand their campaigns, she doesn’t understand. And end the haircut talking about HDTV converter boxes and how the government is trying to get you. It was by far the most amusing haircut I have received in years.
Work
This week has been tough. Last Thursday and Friday I pulled 12 hour days to cover for someone who called in sick. Both days sucked, but I would like to think my coworkers recognized the amount of effort I was putting in. Now this week I have had to wake up early; 5am M-T, and 6:30am W-F. When I get done in the early afternoon, I find myself with a whole day of time I usually sleep away. Hence this post, and I’m kind of bored.
All Points North
Nothing really for this one, I’m just really excited about heading up to Alaska and getting the chance to see my peeps. If you wish to be placed on the schedule, you better let me know now because times are filling up fast. Plus, if you actually read this blog then you are on the VIP list already… good for you!
